Hi all,

for reference and identification, STS has now available a new feature: The Seed Gallery.

There you can access a list of pages, classified by Genus, including good quality images of seeds, seed clusters, fruits and other relevant seed ID details of plant species with psychoactive and therapeutic properties, and related species in their respective families.

Please post in this thread if:

• You have any unlisted, identified seeds that are missing in the gallery and a digital camera.
• You have taken good quality pictures of any seeds that are already listed, but you think your pictures deserve a spot in the gallery.
• You have any corrections, notes or requests regarding the existing gallery photos.

We'll keep here a list of the currently represented species, for quick forum reference. Contributions are essential for building a great reference gallery. Please share your seed pictures with us!

Second Picture: Hyclocereus Undatus (Dragonfruit. It's not psychoactive, but it is a cool cactus that grows dragonfruit)

This plant may be psychoactive, I am still working with it to see.  Supposedly one of it's relatives makes a sedating tea.

Here are some pictures from my seed collection taken with a camera without special magnification, use any desired. The first 2 are Trichocereus bridgesii. Some of the pictures may be displayed already, but these are under less magnification.

These 3 are Lophophora williamsii "caepitosa". Next I will post pictures of Lophophora williamsii "williamsii".

These 3 are Papaver somniferum "Giganteum Strain"; I just intend to use these for culinary purposes and for taxonomy.

One hint regarding the magnification issue... when a good digital camera with macro lens is not at hand, you can easily fit the lens of any common compact digital camera to the viewer of a pocket microscope. The little cheap ones fitted with LEDs, commonly used for inspection of leaves, flowers or trichomes in gardening work, make a good combo with compact cameras. You can find in the gallery several "macro" pictures taken this way.
