I'm probably completely off but...the top one looks similar to hoodia and the bottom one's flower looks Solanaceae family-ish. Sorry I can't help more.

I'd say that top one looks like a hoodia or a euphorbia.  The only way to tell for sure is when it flowers. Hoodia have very distinctive flowers.

The spines look greener than the pictures of hoodia I found. Probably because its young.

The first one is a Stapelia. I'm not familiar with the other one.

I think that second one is an edible, not that that helps you much.
I bought something the other day that is identical from the local markets, but the label fell off and I am trying to ID it now too!
Pretty pinkish flower it gets and it tastes like any other succulent "pig face" just with a little more tang.
Apparently high in the omega's and all the other good stuff, and that's why I got it + easy to propagate.

If it is the same (and it certainly looks it) I will have an answer in a month when I see the seller again, but if you find out before, make sure you let me know!!!
Mrs is very pissed "I" lost the label. (Although I don't quite know how I got that job, ::) And I certainly don't remember volunteering....)

Sucks, but AU-OS trade isn't cost effective or reliable anymore. Aussie trade encouraged, especially for cactus, dragonfruit, and colour fruited columns.

I've been wanting stapelia for a while. They're great for grafting.

If you let it dry out for a few days before sending it then it will. You should wait a week or so before sending it. I have a legal situation i'm dealing with right now that I need to figure out.  I'll let you know after friday whatsup.

Where is your sense of adventure?

Probably a wise decision though.

Hey fairdinkumseeds

I like trying new things but when it comes to eating new things I would rather get confirmation from some 1 with more experience, as I have been picking in the wild so I know the risks, but if u can confirm this is edible then I will give it a try :) thanks for reading.
