Gardening For Health
« on: October 25, 2013, 12:31:56 PM »

Hello, Marten here from the soggy Pacific Northwest.

I do some outdoor gardening in our short pause between months of rain we call Summer, and some indoor gardening as well.

I've found that many dried herbals such as rosea rhodiola are of a great benefit to those who suffer from conditions from depression to fibromyalgia, however the supplement industry is a big money makers for the few, and I want to experiment with local growing of such healing plants.

I also plan on trying to grow mushrooms such as maitake as they seem to help some friends who suffer fibromyalgia as well.

My experience is mostly with culinary herbs indoors and standard vegetables, heirloom tomatoes and such outdoors.

I look forward to learning along with other green-thumbed members.

Pleased to meet you Marten.
I have been wanting to add Rosea rhodiola to my collection for ages so I am interested to see how you do/plan to grow it where you are.

Ahhmm, this where folks normally say fill out your grow and share lists, and read the rules, and everything will go peachy.
Once promoted you can PM, and have a bit more of a look around the place.
Its a pretty cool bunch of folks here so I am sure you will like it!

Sucks, but AU-OS trade isn't cost effective or reliable anymore. Aussie trade encouraged, especially for cactus, dragonfruit, and colour fruited columns.
