Keeping spores in a drawer
« on: October 08, 2020, 03:43:45 PM »

While cleaning i found a few spore prints that i made about a year and a half/two years ago in a drawer
Do y'all think they might still be viable if properly rehydrated in a seringe for 24h?

I have a spore print that was stored for only six months and can't seem to get anything to grow from it, but I believe that's quite unusual and generally spore prints can be stored for many years while remaining viable

My first grow was from 15 year old spore prints a buddy of made... I had great sucess.   I still have these sore prints and they are now 20 years old.     Maybe time for an experiment 🤔

Edit:  1st attempt 4 years ago these spore were stored in a basement no other special care.   The past 4 years they have  been stores in a mini fridge with all my other spores and cultures.
