I've never heard of her Georgia flame variety. What can you tell me about it?
It is from the republic of Georgia. The country near Russia. The peppers are becoming more prolific as the plant grows, Ive also been polinating them myself due to lack of bees and such right now. Anyway, the plant itself is pretty resilient to most things. For example, all my peppers from the hardware store, all pretty much died are sufficed disease or mold/fungus. My Ga. Flames have virtually no visual damage aside from a couple holes in a few leaves. Pretty awesome considering where I live!!
On to the peppers themselves lol. They are long like a banana pepper, with a little bit of wilt in the formation. The wrinkle of a shishito pepper, but long like a banana pepper. Turns from green to red over the course of several weeks. Once fully mature they are slightly spicy upon contact, and sweet and delicious the rest of the way.
Ive never came across such a great plant from any hardware store. I got this from an ambiguous local nursery. But I have been collecting seeds from each pepper I eat and have a handful at this point. Definitely worth growing at least one time!
