Hello, I am very happy to join this community and see so many other people with the same interests. I was turned onto this community by another avid growing in my vicinity.

I am currently studying horticulture in college and love all things plant related. Despite my harsh growing climate (3b), I grow a wide variety of species indoor and out and am especially interested in enthogenic varieties. Over the past 2 years I have been building my collection but there is always more to add. I also have a large edible vegetable garden and many ornamentals. I love studying the structure and history of plants and their impact on the development of human minds and culture.

Thanks for the wealth of knowledge contained in these forums, I look forward to the fruitful discussions and trades.

I'm also curious if anyone has read the works of Tony Wright, particularly the book Left in the Dark?

Well look who it is...  missed you joining here been busy with the family, the two little ones have keep us pretty busy around the house this spring and summer.  Haven't had much time to get around the forums either. 

Glad your around here and yes you will fit in around here quite well.  Next time your in town you should swing by and collect some cacti,  need to thin out for the winter!

3b(USA)? That's really cold hehe, I'm zone 4b(usa) (that's 3b canada). You'd be 2b Canada. Do you have lights inside?

3b Canada, in the winter I don't run too many lights beside a full spectrum fluence full spec LED for my Lophophora.

Will do, got some things to trade too! Should have that sally plant for you before the end of the season. Also if you're interested got an unknown (purple) variety of papaver somniferum, some of different varieties of ipomea seeds, and I also have a bunch more pereskiopsis on hand if you want to speed up propagation.

I also tried growing a similar cacti, but I'm still kind of a beginner gardener, and I didn't realize that it would take 20-30 years to fully mature I was able to get two to grow, but they are smaller than the size of my pinky fingernail :/ Is there a way to grow them that wouldn't take 20-30 years by chance??
