Pots for Acacias
« on: August 19, 2014, 06:24:02 PM »

I hate to keep these majestic trees confined but I believe that it's the only way for me to grow them. The time has come to move them to a larger, more permanent pot and wanted to see if anyone had any favorite containers that they found worked well.

Most containers seem too short for them to grow out their tap root and be happy so I'm looking for something rather tall and narrow.. the best I've been able to think of is a 5 gal bucket with a bunch of holes drilled in it which has been working well enough for my mimosa t/o/a trees.

Any other ideas?:)

The bucket is probably good. Could try and find a smaller size metal or thick plastic trash can.

Ah, a trash can... Good idea. I'll see what I can find.
