Nice to digitally meet you , I am new too
I might have just gotten virolas from 2 places , in the post on the way now
possibly surinamensis / sebifera from Nicaragua and Suriname
And Mimosa scabrella (Braacatinga) from Brazil..
I also got some opthalmocentra seeds from Brazil - only 8, I sowed 4 when I got them but lost them to fungus gnats
this time I sowed another 4 and used nematodes in the water and sbs on the soil ,
one seedling didn't get past the cotyledon stage
but the other 3 are just sprouting their 5th set of leaves
-an honour to have the chance to grow those and been so far 100% germination, really pretty colour seeds too
and that supplier is also hunting virolas diplop' and tetrap'
......and much like the other good folk here; I am also seeking to grow Tetrapterys methistica , white banisteriopsis sp' (tear drop shaped-paper like- seed pod) , Diplopterys cabrerana and Trichocereus validus and werdermannianus but also different varieties of Psychotria viridis
I managed to make a contact in Ecuador though which may come to fruition sooner than I expected for virola, tetrapterys and diplopterys
And one in Peruu for virola
I have only grown for 2 years but I look forward to sharing plants with you too
and it's wonderful to know there's more like us out there
Bliss wishes and happy growing
