Hello, Marten here from the soggy Pacific Northwest.
I do some outdoor gardening in our short pause between months of rain we call Summer, and some indoor gardening as well.
I've found that many dried herbals such as rosea rhodiola are of a great benefit to those who suffer from conditions from depression to fibromyalgia, however the supplement industry is a big money makers for the few, and I want to experiment with local growing of such healing plants.
I also plan on trying to grow mushrooms such as maitake as they seem to help some friends who suffer fibromyalgia as well.
My experience is mostly with culinary herbs indoors and standard vegetables, heirloom tomatoes and such outdoors.
I look forward to learning along with other green-thumbed members.
