Hi!
I'm trying to write a book about psychoactive plants that can be easily found in the wild on my little country that is Portugal.
So far I've documented:
Various Acacia species (actually they are an invasive species and the government are trying to eliminate them)
Datura's
Acorus Calamos
Phalaris, various species
Morning Glory, also an invasive species
Passion Fruit, very common in every backyard
Arundo donax
Wild Lettuce
Mandrake
Belladona
Artemisia
Amanita M. and some Psicobilin species
Lupulus
Hyoscyamus ...
Some of this species are know by the old people for they "magical powers" :
Datura's tea make you crazy and will communicate with the devil for ever and ever;
Wild lettuce is given to rabbits to make them calm
Amanita M. is called the "bull kill" due they strong reaction...
And the list go on...
But I want to know more about the world of magical plants and hope that some of you can help me with your knowledge.
Growing my own food is my hobbie, and everybody should do that with healthy seeds!
I'm also starting a magical garden with seeds that I swap with few friends and some injured plants that I rescue from the street or lazy neighbours.
For that this community is perfect to me!
Thank you!
