Any hope for my caapi?
« on: March 11, 2021, 06:41:20 AM »

I recently received some caapi cuttings of unfortunately young tips that are still green. Nonetheless, I managed to root one successfully but after transplanting it a bit more than two weeks ago it has begun to rot in the past few days. I was really hoping this guy would make it. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Let it dry out, the soil looks to wet, place in a nice sunny location. .. but not blazing hot direct sun.

Thanks for the reply. Seems likely the soil was too wet. I have dug some of the soil around the roots to allow it to air a bit. The roots generally look healthy, but the rest of the stem is becoming more black.
