Somebody asked in chat about P. umbellata. I found some interesting scientific papers about potential mu opioid activity, here are some of the links I found. Some have pictures, some are about biochemistry.


No, but Psychotria phytochemistry is very interesting. There are a huge variety of beta carboline based structured. Umbellatine seems interesting, tail flick test results in painkilling partially reversed by naloxone, but is a chem that also appears in Berberis sp.
