Paulinnia yoco fresh seed

Does anyone have experience germinating paulinnia yoco? I have fresh seed, still a bit soft on inside unlike all others I've ever had.
I can't find a germination tutorial.

The cultivation info here is not specific to P. yoco, but my guess is that it might be similar to guarana... sounds like low pH might help, and says maybe take up to 100 days, so dont gets be up on them!

There’s also this study, not remarkebly exciting info, but it’s data on several interesting species, including P. rugosa, which I’d assume would require similar germination conditions. Basically all it says though is don’t let those seeds dry out. Grown at 25C, 12hr light sched. Or that’s all I gathered from my quick skim.

T. undulate sprouted for me no problems when I tried, no special treatment. Congrats on the sanango score, I expect you’ll have promising results.

Great info. Thank you for taking the time.
I had trouble with T Sananho at first until I realized the problem was the seed I was getting was not viable. I found good seed and did that ever make a difference.
It took me a minute to figure out planting depth, moisture needed and a few other details.. But getting good seed was the real difference between my success vs failures.

I lost many seedlings in the cotyledon opening stage. Any mist or humidity dome use would rot them in just a few days. They are so sensitive. The way the cots unfold from the center of the seed/nut makes them very sensitive to wet media.
100 seeds gave me about 15 sprouts. Just one sprout survived. I think this one is going to make it to winter.

2 cola nut seeds are sprouting now as well. This Yoco is on its way..
