PVC gardening for confined spaces

The picture below shows the steps.
It´s possible to set a hose with small holes inside the pipe for controlled irrigation.

Around here it´s about 4 dollars worth around 2m each, the big one.
I prefer 1m each, it´s easier to harvest.
You can make live fences out of it too, it´s very beatiful.

Wow...that is clever, attractive, and priced right!  What a novel idea.

One question, though...how do you keep the soil evenly moist top to bottom?  It would seem logical to me that the most dependent portion (bottom) would be more damp than the top, from water percolating downwards.  Is that ever a problem?

I suppose you could have those PVC pipes hanging horizontal instead of vertical, that would probably resolve any unevenness in how hydrated the soil is.

That is a great idea!

I saw on the internet some time ago something like this, but made with PET soda bottles!

And there is also one other option on how to use those PET bottles, that, i believe, is something like what TBM said in the post above

Making these structures with PET bottles is also great because you would be also recycling it, and it is also more cheap than using purchased PVC tubes, even though it is really cheap already.
