Dark blue on cactus?

Not sure what I'm looking at here or what to do about it. Possibly rot from over-watering???

I see that from time to time, especially on bridgesii. Its basically encapsulated rot. Water less for a while and it should stop progressing, then eventually they'll just flake off.
Keep an eye on it tho, if it goes into the flesh and turns into real rot just chop the whole section off before it zips down the core.

This happens with trichs mostly and other columnars.  Bridgesii is the worse as Auxin said.  Dont try cutting it out like i did because that just spreads it.

Basically I second what Auxin said.
