Pot size and plant quantity
« on: August 29, 2015, 08:13:30 PM »

Long story short:

Is it possible to grow several plants in a pot with inadequate size if enough nutrients and water is given to them periodically?

Yes, take that to the extreme and you have a hydroponic or aeroponic setup. But: you must make sure the EC, acidity and all of your soil stay in reasonable limits, so the idea wont scale to every extent. Too much and youll burn your plants roots.
Also a plant might dwarf in a pot and finally not flower right or produce viable seeds.

It's also difficult to provide enough water when a pot becomes root bound as most of the water given will not be absorbed into the soil and drain out.
