What is a good inert powder to 'cut' 99% pure 3-indole-butyric acid? I'm planning on ordering a 5 gram vial of some but I think it would be wasteful to dip cuttings directly into it. I would like to cut it down to double or triple what the main rooting gel(roottech) on the markets content is(.55%) with some type of inert powder. I thought about using flour because it's cheap and readily available but I think that once it's wet it might get infected with yeast and ferment.
Since cedar oil has antimicrobial properties if I could somehow blend it into a fine powder, like say in a coffee grinder, I think it would work great to cut the 3-indole. I could just blend them at a 200mg to 1g ratio and end up with a 2% IBA rooting powder with antimicrobial properties.
What do you guys think?
