Hello and welcome to STS  :)

If you haven't done so yet, please read the Share the Seeds FAQ. Please note that we're mainly about sharing plants and seed and discussing all aspects of growing these plants, and not consumption.

A few of us here are also searching for Synaptolepis kirkii without much luck, unfortunately. I live in South Africa, and I still have yet to come across a live plant or seeds  :-\

I hope you enjoy the forum, and if you have any questions please feel free to ask  :)

i'd add amanita to the dream list. Wish we could go more in detail, but they are strict on the no use talk rule, for a good reason.

i have trouble remembering dreams, but one trick i found is not move when you wake up, until you've recalled the whole dream.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entada_rheedii is another one but i have no experience with it other than the seeds are beautiful.

Yeah, I'm sure we'll all be able to add that one to our collections eventually  ;D

In the mean time, I have another plant you might want to add to your grow list some day: Alepidea amatymbica, aka "Ikhathazo". It's one of the Ubulawu plants - as well as an important medicinal plant - and it's a lot easier to find than Synaptolepis kirkii. I think it's actually being over-harvested and is now endangered in the wild (and if not, then it's getting there pretty fast), and this is despite the legend concerning it's harvest. Apparently, one can only harvest this plant on misty days in Summer or else your home will be struck by lightning (kind of reminds me of the screaming Mandragora legend in a way  :P

Sceletium is being cultivated on a pretty large scale these days, hopefully relieving some of the pressure on the wild population.   :)

A, I’m not too sure about “Ikhathazo” but as far as I know, Ubulawu is pronounced “Oo-Boo-Lah-Woo”.
