Tabernaemontana germination
« on: March 19, 2014, 05:57:23 PM »

I have 12 tabernaemontana sananho seeds I'm currently trying to germinate and 50 seeds for an unidentified tabernaemontana I'm about to start.

I soaked six t sananho seeds in a 1000 ppm GA3 solution over night then planted those into soil. I put the other six in a bag with moist perlite.

Looking back I probably should have split them up into groups of two or three so I could have switched up more variables, but its too late for that now. I'll experiment more with the unidentified ones.

I had decent success with T. undulata using the moist perlite method and rinsing with a dilute peroxide solution to combat any mold.. It ended up being about a 50% germination rate. I'm interested to see how this experiment goes for you.

Is there a vendor carrying sananho seeds currently?
