Hey Everyone!
« on: January 08, 2014, 10:13:48 PM »

Hey everyone!

I'm Joker Flash and my vice is ethnobotanicals. I've recently started an indoor garden with an emphasis on them, and have a small collection started. I have a large(ish) Mitragyna speciosa, three Banisteriopsis caapi seedlings, a bunch of Nicotiana rusticas, Phalaris arundinace, and one Echinopsis pachanoi. Not much of a collection but everyone starts somewhere ;D

Also planning on starting an outdoor vegetable and herb garden come springtime!

Looking forward to giving and receiving the love!

Hello Joker Flash and thank you for joining,

nice corner you have there :) Just curious about a couple plant features, particularly the caapi seedlings... do you know the humidity you usually have in that space?

I hope to see you around the forums, and please refer to our FAQ and Rules if you have any questions about the community.

Welcome to STS,

Thanks for the welcome :D

I really need to get a hygrometer :( I'm not sure the exact content but it really felt like a sauna in there; I actually moved my plants and light because it was a crazy 95° in there most days.

Right now I'm keeping my caapi's underneath a bell-type humidity dome, and there is constant moisture dripping down the sides even though I don't mist. They were in the space I posted for about a week and were fine during the daytime but when the temperature would drop during the night they'd wilt. I ended up leaving them on my fridge during the night to keep them warm. Other than that they had no problem being in the closet.

Hi Joker Flash. Good looking garden! How old is that Kratom, and is that a Rif-at (autocorrect wont leave that word alone)?

Anyway, welcome to STS. Hope to see you around.

G'day Joker Flash!
Pleased to meet you.

Sucks, but AU-OS trade isn't cost effective or reliable anymore. Aussie trade encouraged, especially for cactus, dragonfruit, and colour fruited columns.
