What are these holes on salvia d. leaves?
« on: January 12, 2020, 10:11:20 PM »

Is this caused by spider mites? The weird thing is that I have the plant indoors next to another one, I used the same soil and other stuff for both and one has holes on the big leaves while the other doesn't. I have humidity tents on both plants

Any news on that?

My Salvia's develop very similar holes, and sometimes also in other ways deformed leaves.

I've checked many times for parasites, at times there were some lize which I successfully poissoned, but still they sometimes have leaves with werid holes like on your picture, or other deformations. I am not sure anymore it stems from parasites. At least some of the deformations might be due to dry air indoor? But the holes probably not.

Anyway, they grow really well despite the holes so I don't worry too much...

Spider mites don't make holes in leaves line that
Cause the holes are right next to one another it looks like something chewed through your leaf while it was young and still busy opening
