Its been a long time since Ive seen a kanna seedling, but I’m not so sure what you have there is kanna. Maybe that really tiny one is kanna?

If you’re still looking for sida come spring, I could send you a few small plants. I made the mistake of planting some in the backyard, and now I cant get rid of them.

I've had trouble with aids Cordifolia, too. No luck, and I'm 2 weeks into my second attempt. Oddly enough, I had 3 rhombifolia seeds, 2 of them have germinated after a week.

How old were the seeds that you planted?  Did you pre-treat them in any way?  I have some old kanna seeds that I bought several years ago from Silverhill Seeds and thought I might give them a try.

Yup, definitely sceletium ;D

Be sure not to subject them to any rapid changes in temp or humidity. Room temp is ideal. They are very well suited for growing in a sunny windowsill. Keep fairly moist in well drained media, but don’t over-water. Other than that, as you said, its just an exercise in patience.

Good work.

You might want to try Delosperma bosseranum that is said to have similar alkaloids.
This one is much more easy to take care and are a surviver even if neglected.

I also want try grow kanna and have ordered some seeds just a few days ago.
It is said to have a quite good effect for an etnobotanical plant.
Will be intresting.

Give a man a bread and he will have food for one day. Teach him to grow plants and he will spend all day in the garden drinking beer.

I tried to grow D. bosseranum but none germinated!
There's your problem. Every time I try to grow them. It never works out. However, I just found several tiny bosseranum seedlings growing with one of my cacti after a winter with very little water as I was moving it outdoors. And I don't even remember growing any last year. I'd say, just surface sow some seeds in with something that doesn't need much water and forget about them. Eventually, they will appear.

Relatively fresh D. bosseranum seeds germinate readily in a few days. I have a bunch of seedlings, and sowed some leftover seeds literally 4 days ago and I'm seeing tiny sprouts already. Just surfaced sow and keep humid at first. The seeds were harvested by an online friend about 6 months ago.

Added a pic of a couple ~10 months old Kanna seedlings (in my hand), versus my motherplant I started from a cutting about a year ago.
