Hey there,

I just wanted to do a small intro to myself. Trying to grow some acacias indoor and under led light atm which is somehow working but it is a slowly going process.
I have Acacia acuminata (broad and narrow), courtii, obtusifolia, floribunda, simplicifolia.

Since growing trees indoors is taking so much time, I am looking more into the Phalaris route these days. Phalaris aquatica AQ1 plant is on its way.
Searching for more seeds or plants with a nice profile.

I realized that I played with arundinacea and its relatives as a child. There was a child game called "rooster or hen". You took the grass flower and scrub from bottom to top all the seeds between your fingers. so that in the end you get something that looks like a rooster or hen. The idea was to decide how it will look like before you scrub.

hard to describe.

For me it surely is a sign which tells me to look more into those plants

You should grow some m. hostilis!
I have a few mimosas indoors right now, they are doing great in the windowsill. They are in some ways similar to the plants you are talking about

Nice to have you a'board ! In my experience artificial lights and indoor grows are a PITA, unless you really get everything right for that particular plant, and should be avoided whenver possible.

I thought about hostilis. Is it growing faster than acacias?

Indeed indoor growing under light is a big PITA. And it feels like the plants dont want it anymore. But since I am living almost in a cave that seemed a good way to bring my friends through the winter.
