howdy hey!
« on: January 19, 2018, 08:04:41 AM »

Nice to be here! Happy to have found a thriving community of seed swappers and plant people.

I live and work on a botanical sanctuary with my mom who is a much more studied herbalist than I. We grow over a hundred different medicinal herbs, about 20 of which are at-risk or endangered. I enjoy cultivating plants and fungi as well as foraging for them. Making lots of soap is a hobby of mine, as well as brewing sacred and herbal beer, mead and ale. Side note, I'm a classically trained harpist (I play in orchestras, choirs, and for church services) and I've been playing for about 14 years now.

Our sanctuary is a member of the United Plant Savers international network (there are about a hundred of us across the US and Canada). Would love to reach out to people in other countries as well to spread that mission. But I'd also love to connect with people local to me! I live in NJ, USDA zone 6b.

Thank you for cultivating such a wonderful community together, again, happy to be here :-)

Welcome to Share the Seeds! It's great to have you apart of our community!

Interested to see some pictures of your botanical sanctuary and curious about what the 20 species are that your cultivating which are at-risk or endangered.

Looking forward to seeing you around the forums.

Thank you, good to meet you!

We hold monthly pot-lucks and workshops on herbalism and herb-related topics at our house in New Egypt, NJ. If you ever find the time, come on out and we can show you around, maybe send you off with some seeds or cuttings!
