What are Y'all Starting From Seed In July?
« on: July 14, 2016, 08:24:47 PM »

Ya I know there's grow logs but I know you is growing way more than is posted about.
I'm looking to grow a ton of stuff and don't want to be intimidated by the winter approaching
Also trying to cut electricity costs by not having a ton of lights going for months at a time
so what would be good to start now that would make it soundly through the cold winter either outside or in greenhouse.

I'm starting a new vegetable patch this month and am wondering what entheogens would be good to start from seed or get starts of.

Recently have started many Acacia, Phalaris, Passiflora seeds and am planning on doing Peppers and get some small Nicotianas going for a late fall harvest.

I dont think Im gonna be starting any entheogens this month. I wanted to start my phalaris seeds around now but due to unforseen circumstances i probably wont get to this year. Hope they keep til next year! I have them bundleflower you have me too and i hope they'll get big enough to winter over.
Other than that i just started some flax a couple weeks ago and next month i will be more than likely planting cilantro and some more arugala.

In about a month im going to start some Mighty Mustard® Pacific Gold as a cover crop at a attempt to suppress soilborne pathogens.

I'll be starting Rivea, Passionflower, and gotu cola seeds this weekend. Probably not the best time to start any of them, but I have a few seeds to play with and just can't wait till next spring :-*

Next month will start a fall veggie patch of lettuce, Kale, spinach, onion, and carrots.

Desmanthus I. for sure and Maybe Desmanthus L. , Mimosa Hostilis if it decides to grow, maybe another mimosa or so and a few other Acacia if they keep growing as well.

Have been on the fence about cacti and other seeds but it seems my Incar. Del has just now started to grow after 1-3 months of 'chilling' in the dirt.

Who knows what else has popped up that I haven't recognized yet, been a difficult time keeping the weather agreeable ha.

Desmanthus has been great once they survive the first 2-3 inches of growth, for whatever reason they are not taking well to the drastic changes in temp, surprise surprise.

I started some Cranberry Hibiscus and some Passiflora Edulis. I plan on having to grow them indoors over the winter, but I'll have some nice well established plants by spring!

So planting Desmanthus seeds in the ground right now would be good if I want them to pop up next spring?

They should pop up very quickly if your climate is right, soak em for a few days in warm water and they should pop up quick, I know they are hardy but there is only one way to find out if they survive, I would say split the seeds up and do some growing now and then again next spring just to compare, 2 weeks to 2-3 inches from day of soaking sounds about right from what I've seen .
