Hi from Aus
« on: November 04, 2015, 03:29:13 AM »

Hey guys
From Australia
Studying biotechnology at university
Practicing micropropagation/tissue culture of plants and wanting to preserve cultures of individual plants in the future as a "backup bank".
Love cactus, succulents, vegetables, fruit trees and pretty much anything else.
Can't wait until I can start sharing cultures with anyone that might be interested in that in future
Cheers

Sucks, but AU-OS trade isn't cost effective or reliable anymore. Aussie trade encouraged, especially for cactus, dragonfruit, and colour fruited columns.

Welcome to STS :)

When quickly reading up the subject I found it isnt that easy to store and conserve tissue cultures, isnt it ? Until now I only let the explant grow roots, grow callus, grow plant, whatever, until it outgrows containers... intereted tho if / what you can freeze or conserve otherwise.
