Noni fruit. Already starting to fruit. I'm a little afraid to try it, but going to give it a go when ready.

pic 1 Miracle Fruit. Tasty little berries that make sour taste sweet for about 30 minutes. Since repotting, it can't make up it's mind whether to fruit or send out new growth. It's been teasing me with little nothing-berries. Soon!

pic 2 Hybrid cactus, will have to see if I can find the names of the parents. It's one of the few that survived psycho-landscaping-man with his high powered blower. Blasted my collection of cacti seedlings all the way to Narnia.

Welcome.  Id love to see coral in POTM threads but they are animals but if we are allowing fungi....

Me too! Coral actually get their color from symbiotic algae within the polyps that they extend to harness energy from sunlight and to capture prey and food items. So technically, corals should be considered part-plant.

Nice pics and nice plants there roblack!

But see that's how it starts, a nicely mown lawn, a bare fenceline and a collection of potentially rambunctious plants sitting very politely (for now...heh,heh,heh...) in their pots. All bunny rabbits and rainbows.

But you live in Miami and that is going to be your downfall. In a few years that caapi will eat your neighborhood if not kept in check, and the albas will be following behind scooping up the crumbs...

It's gonna be an entheogenic Armageddon man!

And I'll be eagerly waitng for it to happen!  ;D

Thanks Bach, it is already getting out of hand down here. Unfortunately, the varmints are out of control too. Something has been eating cacti and a rainbow eucalyptus seedling just got munched. The squirrels and rats mock me.

Thanks Chicsa. Miracle fruit is tasty, and then its action is really interesting and useful. Mine is finally producing edible fruit. Going to have to eat some lemons and limes and see how it goes.

No luck growing mf from seed thus far, but cuttings are supposed to work well.

Thank you!

Good news today, have several seeds of selenicereus megalanthus (orange dragon fruit) sprouting.

Bad news, snail infestation is killing off my pitayas. Time for some escargot.
