[Trich Clone] "Super Pedro" Know anything about this clone?
« on: April 30, 2015, 04:18:02 PM »

Hi All,

I recently got a clone called "Super Pedro".

From what I know, it's an OZ clone but that's about all I know.

Does anyone know anymore about it?

Thanks,
Hcc

Nice!!

I do know a bit about it.  Some people consider it to be a scop x pachanoi clone.  Others say it's just a T. cordobensis (basically a spined scopulicola.)  I personally think it's a T. cordobensis clone. I really like the way it looks.  If you don't mind me asking, where did you get it?

Sweet!

I got it hanging out at the nook in a trade. The person had it imported from OZ and said the grower in OZ who sent it to them is very trustworthy with IDs.

It was a small piece so I grafted it last Fall. It's grown to the point where it hits the lights so I'm going to graft sections of it pretty soon.

Does it look like the real deal to you? Is it still too small to know for sure?

It looks a bit off to me, but could be due to conditions.

Check that out.  That's the unique look of super pedro that I use to ID.  Really fat scopulicola shape, small dark spinage with medium fuzzy areoles.

Awesome thanks for the link on that New Wisdom.

I think I finally understand the difference between scopulicola and cordobensis:

I read that MS Smith thinks that Scop's are from bolivia and cordobensis is from Cordoba in Argentina(?). From what I saw, he never got a confirmation of this though.
