Neem is an organic insecticide derived from Azadirachta indica, a tree from India, native to Burna region and the arid areas of the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. It is a kind of rapid growth, which can reach about 20 meters high, whose wood is reddish, hard and very tough.

NEEM OIL

Considered as a pesticide or biological insecticide, Neem oil is the natural way to control insects (ex .: aphids, thrips) and fungal diseases. The azadirachtina, active substance present in this oil is an extremely powerful natural chemical. This means that while using it, we will avoid the application of traditional synthetic chemicals that are highly toxic and destructive of biodiversity.

One of the properties of Neem is its great efficiency and low degree of toxicity. It is not toxic to humans and animals, and is fully biodegradable.

Only the insects harmful to plant growth is that are affected by Neem oil. Bees, ladybugs and other beneficial insects are completely unharmed. 

HOW TO APPLY The NEEM OIL SPRAY

In a bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of liquid soap tea in about 1 liter of warm water.

Add 1 drop of Neem oil to the mixture and stir well.

The amount of solution preparation should be required to apply the next 8 hours. After this period the solution loses effectiveness.

Preferably the early morning or late afternoon, fill the spray bottle or spray with a Neem oil solution and spray around the roots of plants and all pages.

Shake the bottle during application to keep it well mixed.

Make Neem oil spray once a week for four weeks and use it to protect your plants from any pest attack.

If attack is severe, it should increase the concentration of Neem Oil and use it until the plants are free of pests.


NEEM EXTRACT FROM LEAVES

Make your own Neem extract is simple. Need fresh leaves of Neem, water and anything to filter.

Cover the leaves of Neem with water at a ratio of one kilogram of leaves to five liters of water.

Let the bundle of leaves for one week.

Should not heat or boil the mixture. Heat decreases the azadirachtin content (active ingredient) of the sheets.

After that, fine crush the leaves in water, and filter the solution through a suitable filter paper.

Fill the flask to the spray or spray Neem oil solution and spray around the roots of plants and all pages.

This solution however can not have the same effectiveness compared with the solution prepared from the Neem Oil.

My personal dosage:

As preventive or curative: dilute 1.50 ml of the product in 1 liter of water
As healing insect larval: dilute 2.5 ml of the product in 1 liter of water.
As healing in the adult insect: 3 ml of the product diluted in 1 liter of water

I did not see this existed before making a new Neem oil thread! Can someone move this to the new subforum Plant Pests and Infections so the threads could be merged into one?

 I spray neem on about everything without any problems.

But I have read it has reactions to some plants, Any body know which ones  ? ?

I have read somewear that when its watered into the roots the plant can use it systematicly ? ?  Is this true ? ?
