Echinopsis pachanoi cutting health
« on: June 24, 2017, 05:18:40 AM »

Recently had a Echinopsis pachanoi specimen with two pups coming out of the soil (see attached photo of babies and the mother). During a recent pot transplant I decided to pull them off and see if I could get them to make clones. The soil blend generally is very good for these sorts of cacti.

Any other tips to keeping these alive? Don't over-water? Any hormones / nutrients I should look out for? I normally fertilize soil once or twice a year with a blend of alfala meal kelp meal neem seed meal oyster shells, azomite, fish bone mean and humic acid. Seems to work good. Just leave it alone?

limit sun and water until you see that vibrant green growth (indicating roots) and then grow normally
