Title: Best Summertime Flowers

Hey all,

I'm looking for recommendations on the best types of flowers to plant this time of year. I just recently got into gardening & am open to any and all suggestions. Please let me know your favorites and how to care for them!

if you're planning to plant them outside.. it depends on what climate zone your in,
if they are growing in the right climate, they pretty much take care of themselves.

bulb plants are very care free, such as tulips, daylilly, spiderlilly, crocus..
fruit trees usually have nice flowers, cherry, plum, orange, peach, etc.
banana bush tree, Magnolia figo, smells amazing from 100 yards away,
many cacti have pretty flowers, but it will take some time to grow them.

i'd say go to a local nursery, garden center, or check out online suppliers.

Awesome. I've been taking trips to garden centers in my area just to browse, but I'll definitely check out some of those you suggested.
