Title: ROAD-OPENER, Abre Camino, throughwort, bonesets
Post by: ONandONandON on June 03, 2021, 02:03:50 AM

maybe you've seen this one in your backyard.
i've seen this plant growing wild everywhere,
then i recognized it being sold as wiccan herb.

it looks very similar to the tall/fast version of caleaZ,
it also looks like it's a mint plant, but no minty smell.

Has blue pom flowers/seedpods,
which also look similar to caleaZ.

any information for this plant please post here!

I asked the seller and he stated that it's Koanophyllon villosum, which looks correct. It's quite interesting how much variation there is in the leaf shape.

that was the one i was looking for, thanks!
but after reading threw these descriptions/
https://hawthornhillwildflowers.blogspot.com/2015/06/florida-shrub-thoroughwort-koanophyllon.html
i probably misidentified the ones that grow here, because they are not woody, and have blue flowers..
..i will try get some pictures, if i can remember in late summer, when they go into bloom.
