I wanted to find seeds for Eurycoma longifolia, but apparently it is very expensive. (80$ for 100 seed: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Eurycoma-longifolia-Jack-100-Seeds-Tongkat-Ali-Pasak-Bumi-Herb-Thailand-Rare/254189430783?hash=item3b2edee7ff:g:iq8AAOSw9bFcptmB)
On the other hand, another species contains vaguely similar compounds, of the quassinoid type.
Ailanthus altissimus contains the allelopathic chemical https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quassin and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ailanthone
These are similar to eurycomanone in Eurycoma longifolia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurycomanone
I just found this similarity and I wonder if the invasive Ailanthus can be harvested for a purpose similar to tongkat ali.
