Why is P. viridis so rare with US vendors? Is it because of the UDV ruling? I've been out of the collecting game quite a while but it used to be fairly common to see live plants available with vendors. What happened to all the US vendors for that matter! There used to be a hundred of them in the late 90's!

I have had a lot of bad luck trying to get some P. viridis from vendors in the US. I think the Chacruna store is the only place with the real deal. I don't have enough money but I can't wait to get my hands on some viridis. I would love to grow it. I have been growing out whatever look alike the other vendors sent me... some carthagenensis or something I bet?

Yes I recommend the above too. I used to sell legit P. viridis on eBay and such but they won't let me list them anymore. It's a shame we can't offer such things to interested parties as mutual adults in a so-called free society.
