The small jar is just cardboard and coffee grounds with a small piece of a oyster I found a few days ago here in Missouri. The other container is straight coffee grounds that was a bit to wet when I started so has been very slow to colonize but is finally getting there. Both of my samples have just been local mushrooms I have found and just cleaned up a little took a clean chunk out of the cap and put straight to the coffee grounds without any special 180 degrees for 4 hours. So far it's looking good I have had one jar contaminate but to be expected. I'm figuring out how I'm going to pasteurize some straw to use as substrate to fruit them on.

I found it nearly impossible to give my oysters enough fresh air indoors. If you leave them outside you get much bigger caps.
Nevertheless awesome job on getting more mushroom without even sterilization or pasteurization, that's really handy!!!
