Title: Can you help identify this succulent?

I was given this plant from one of my neighbors who moved away recently, all she knew about it was that it's some kind of succulent. At this point it really needs to be transplanted into a larger pot, but without knowing what it is I really don't know what soil would work best for it.

Any help is appreciated!

Im not sure but i would gamble it likes water alot

Its got a collecting pool in the center, and its a bit drip tippy

I've since transplanted it into a larger pot with organic cactus and succulent soil mix so I'm not really worried about it being a bad soil mix anymore. It does seem to like the soil more moist than dry.

I don't know that plants name, but we have similar looking plants here and they capture water in the center of the leaves they love water that much, I will post a pic when I am around @ a friends or out in town, sorry that's not much help! But giving that plant loads of water is a good idea.

I think it's a Bromeliad. Not sure which though.

The similarities are striking, I guess the only way to know for sure which species it is would be to wait for if it flowers.

It's a Sanseveria of some sort, AKA Mother-in-laws-tongue. They are fairly drought hardy and so I wouldn't keep it's feet too wet. They don't mind being rootbound.

They are pretty much bullet-proof and are good as houseplants.

Thanks :) after looking around the web for pictures, it seems like it's most likely a cultivar of Sanseveria trifasciata known as 'Hahnii Silver Frost', or that it's a dwarf 'Hahnii Birds Nest' although I'm not completely sure yet.
