Title: Hello from the mountains!

Hello everybody! I am from the beautiful mountains of Northeast Tennessee, which are currently in a state of color shift, seed making and metamorphosis! anyway I have been an avid gardener since I was about 7. I have collected and sorted through sooo many different types of plants, herbs, fungi, and trees/shrubs. even mosses and lichens to some extent, although im not familiar with the latin for most of them. where I live hosts many many beautiful plant spirits everywhere you cast your gaze. phalaris grass grows along a pond and the roadside 20 feet away. prairie bundleflower thrives in a isolated clearing leading up to a water tower on our mountain. a little further up the mountain and all the way up to the top wild passion flower is plentiful and paints the sacred green landscape with purple and pinkish white brushstrokes for several months of the year. and blackberries and black rasberries all summer long! I love all kinds of plants for many reasons. herbal folk medicine. food source and spiritual enhancement/advancement. nice to meet you all! may the spirits within our plant allies bring us peace and strength together! :-)

Thanks for the intro. You sound like just the type of person we're looking for in members.  You can easily gain full membership by contributing somehow (adding the the plant/seed galleries, posting useful information)  I look forward to seeing you around the forums.

So, what kind of plants do you have growing?

Your description of the mountain and all of your plant neighbors is beautiful. I felt transported from my office desk to a whispery space amongst the grasses and trees while reading your post :D It's great to have you with us! Enjoy your stay and don't be shy  ;)

The appalachians are a beautiful place, i live near them on the NC side; however my family wants to buy a large portion of land up there and live sustainably.

You sound like a great addition to this community !
