Hello everyone, very excited to have been told about this site!
I began my gardening venture with sunflowers, tomatoes, and other vegetables! That evolved into what it is now: the want to grow my teachers.
Vegetables and entheogenic plants alike have always given me a therapeutic feeling when growing, and taking care of them. It has always made me feel more at piece with actually growing and lowing these plants, rather than just buying extracts and dried materials online. Feels good to try and give these plants the best possible life I can give them as a thank you!
Being relatively young, I know I have a lot to learn and a lot of plants that I can be taught about. I hope to achieve that here if everyone can help! And I will do that same to the best of my ability to contribute :)

I love your name (& nobody probably will, too ;D )!! Welcome to STS!
BTW, which region/part of The Phallic State do you inhabit? Why do you suppose that AsiansArentReal?
-
Mid shafts of that state! Tampa!
And yourself?

I am currently infesting/studying at the blue dot on the red neck of Florida, but am native to SOUTH FL (AKA that archipelago commonly called "The Florida Keys).
For a better picture of my home region (& the rest of the state in general), this video may help:

I find it ironic that you live in The Bay Area; a great deal of other Seedians are situated around that region.
-
Well that's an adequate method of imagery!
I wonder why that is? That others are from around this area, that is.
I usually lose anyone that I talk to when I talk about any form of botany.

Keep on talking to people about plants. Sooners or later, you'll find those diamonds in the rough.
-
Oh yeah it doesn't stop me ::)
Usually give a few friends sine plants to at least get them thinking. Hopefully they can learn from it as well!
-
Welcome. I too live in Tampa Bay. Please check out the rules and such :) Can't wait to trade with you

Welcome man! Can't wait to trade with you, We'll get your growing list long and unreadable in no time! I'd love to see some pics of your Mimosa if you've got some, it was the start of my collection and has a special place in my heart. How old are yours?
-
I can't wait :D
My Mimosa is about a year old! doing strong even in the Florida winter lol
The start of my collection was my psychotria viridis though! Been through thick and thin with it for the past 5 years!
-
BEAUTIFUL! Mimi and Demitri are about a third that size, but I expect them to take off again come spring/summer. I'm in Indiana, so they're indoors under lights, but it's taking it's toll on them. One day I will join y'all down there in the beauty that is Florida(Georgia seems nice too!)
-
Yeah I have 2 others that are only like 10 inches tall, but they'll shoot up once the weather warms back up again :D
Florida really is such a great place, although the weather can be erratic lol
-
Indy has some pretty crazy weather itself. My GF and I talked about building a tiny home on a trailer, and living in Florida until we tire of it and decide to move away(leaving an awesome ethnobotanical garden in our place) and start a new life elsewhere. The main reasons Florida seems to be calling us currently are the Ocean, the climate, and the people who seem more friendly and talkative than any other place I've been(Hoosier hospitality is a thing, but Florida has us beat).
-
I've thought about flung that a lot, just building up a garden and then leaging it for the next person. That's why I usually just give my cuttings and extra paid away to anybody lol
you really can't go wrong in many places in Florida, theres a nice rv park by Flagler beach that me and my girlfriend love to go to, have fires on the beach and enjoy some tea.
Traveled to many places but florida is my home
-
We'll look into it next time we head down there :)
I went to Orlando and Disney when I was young, and just got back from Ormond Beach on the 1st. We both agreed while we were down there, Florida feels like home, and Indiana never really has(It's too cold!!!)
-
That sounds fun :D being a local I don't really go many places in Florida, but everywhere I have been is always nice.
Don't think I could ever move anywhere cold lol my poor plants lol
-
Yeah. Grow lights are alright, but I can see the etoliation of my cacti, the dry air from heating the house has made life difficult for a few of my plants, and I've lost a few plants(Including both of my Kratom, and both of the Salvia's I've been sent) :(
My Acacias and Mimosas are doing alright, and my Cranberry Hibiscus has done surprisingly well(especially considering I did not have space under the grow lights for it, so it's just next to my plant shelf), but the rest of my plants are taking it hard...
Anyway, welcome again to STS, can't wait to trade with you and watch your plants grow!(We love grow logs. Speaking of which, mine haven't been updated in awhile...)
-
You got yummy hibiscus ?
-
Yummy hibiscus?!
I will definitely be starting a grow log soon :D
