Post by: Atb on July 24, 2016, 01:04:27 AM
Hi everyone! I'm new to the group and just wanted to make an introduction. I started growing plants about a year ago and it has quickly taken over a huge pert of my life! I grow a few different plants but trichos are my main focus! I have tons of seeds to trade if anyone is interested! Also have lots of seedlings available from time to time! Hope to meet lots of new people and make some great trades! I tried to upload some pics but cant seem to figure it out yet...  Happy to be a part of the community!!!

Isn't a good idea put a caapi to climb a tree. Caapi will grow over the tree. You will need to cut caapi to save the tree, but caapi will still not mature enough.
It is better build a support.

Example of support in the pics1 and 2, they are form the same site. Pic 3 is to you see how a 4 year-old caapi can grow. It turns mature around 10-15 years.

Welcome aboard Atb!

If it freezes where you are you don't have to worry (too much) about the caapi going up the tree. That said it looks like a large oak and harvesting out of a tree that big can be a royal pain in the patootie.

Thanks for the welcome Bach!!

No freezing where I'm at! We're lucky to get below freezing at all here in florida! Yeah, I think I'm gonna building a support stand and get these situated before they get any bigger. Thanks for the advice!

Awesome!! So glad you like them!! If you're ever looking for a specific kind, please don't hesitate to ask. I've got something like 40 new crosses germinating right now! I'll have lots more in a few months!!

And thanks so much for the trade! Got everything in the right places, moving along nicely!!
