Title: Psychotria Alba Leaf damage
Post by: Pflanzenfreund on May 30, 2016, 11:16:34 AM
Good morning

I moved my P. Alba outside, and now my leafs are turning brown and falling down.
Can someone please tell me if this is due either from to much cold, or sun damage.
I chosed a place with partial shade, and temp went down one night to 9C.

I want to prevent further damage,
btw i have allways problems when it comes to move plants outside or inside.
Thank you very much

Looks like sun damage because of the color and leaves turned up.  Probably too sudden a move from indoors to sunlight.  I suggest moving from indoors to bright light with no direct sunlight for a few days.  Then move them into partial sunlight gradually.

I think they'll recover.

Thank you very much,
These days we have no sun at all, and i gonna move them in a more shadier place.

And we had one day really hot, and it was exactly the day after i moved them to an other place.
The weather is crazy here.

Its getting cold here(~10c) and mine are dropping leaves. Just before and after flowering/fruiting, or when it gets cold they always drop some.
If the tips look tender and healthy I wouldn't worry. Pretty hard to kill once they get some size to them.
