So, about four weeks ago, I germinated a peruvian torch cactus seed. It took about a week to see the first dot of green, but three weeks later, it hasn't grown at all.
I've got it under grow lights and the room it's been in has been in the 80s. Should it be growing this slowly?
Thanks

They grow very slowly. And if it is not hot and humid (85-95 F and 80-90% humidity) I noticed that the growth rate isn't noticeable at all.
Even in the right conditions it takes a long time. You wont be able to notice growth very easily.

They do grow slowly compared to most other plants, but with the right conditions you should be noticing growth consistently. My peruvian torches are a little over a month old and have spines coming out of the top like a head of hair almost. They seem to love partial sunshine and temps around the 90's F .
I know this is an older thread but I feel the information could be of use to other readers who stumble across it ;)
