Hi everyone,
This site is really exciting!
I'm here to trade, learn, and grow. My primary interests are in cacti, acacias, and medicinal plants.
So in terms of contributing, hopefully my father and I can combine his knowledge and my forum use to help people answer questions. (I'll try to get him to join, but I doubt he will, he's very busy)
I have a small seed bank that I'm happy to share:
Mimosa Hostilis
Trichocereus peruvianus
Acacia Acuminata
Acacia Simplix
Acacia madenii
Acacia Burkitti
Desmanthus illinoensis
Turbina Corymbosa
And another morning glory that grows in cold climates during the spring, summer and early fall. It has bright purple flowers. It dies back for the winter and drops enough seeds to return next Spring.
Thank you for hosting this site!

Hello hapyconcafe and thank you for registering and posting :)
People with the type of experience and resources you have are obviously more than welcome to the community.
So in terms of contributing, hopefully my father and I can combine his knowledge and my forum use to help people answer questions.
that would be great, and also remember you can contribute in many ways if you ever want to help out - seed or plant information, papers, resources, grow logs/datasheets...
Welcome to STS, I hope you find and learn new things.

Hi Everyone,
I updated my Intro post to remove some personal information and include a list of seeds I have available.
Thank You,

Great :)
Since you've been promoted, you can also create a thread in the Sharing and Trading Seeds and Plants section now, if you want more visibility besides this post or your profile page. Remember to include as well seeds or plants you're interested in, if any.
I've also edited marty's reply to remove the quoted information you deleted from your first post.

Welcome to this amazing new community my friend!
The morning glory plants sound interesting. Living in a cold climate I'd love to research more on them. Are they the same species or just a variation?

I have no idea. I'm guessing a different species. I collected them at my storage unit. The owner lady was so happy I wanted to grow her purple flowers ;D. She didn't know the species unfortunately.

Hahahaha :D. I'm growing some HBWR and Corydalis. Those are the only flowers. If you're ever down to trade some of those let me know.

Hi Everyone,
I was away for the better part of 2015 taking care of life-stuff.
Good things are on the way. Currently I'm working part-time at a cactus nursery, the same one where a lot of the cuttings I've sent ya'll came from.
After lots of thinking and deliberation, I decided not to move across the country for work. I'm going to stay here in the South West to follow my dream of having a large cacti-farm-sanctuary. STS has really helped me find my passion for growing plants, especially cacti.
Anyway, I feel like I had some outstanding trades that need to be finished up. If I owe you cuttings, grafts, or seeds, please send me a PM and we'll get it sorted out. (looking at you Greentoe :))
Also, the L.w. alberto is doing ok. I had it grafted to pereskiopsis for a bit but it wasn't doing as good as it should have. I'll be grafting it to San Pedro in the next couple days. Once it recovers from that, I'll start making the grafts for people here.
Thanks for reading,
Hcc
