I just thought I would share this interesting plant with you people - if you it's still unknown to you (I doubt it, haha). It grows at high altitudes and thus needs UV protection. Special translucent bracts that serve as a shield have developed as a consequence.

So you change your glasses for a set of bracts on sunny days ? Thats exactly how I imagine scribe to be :D
