Hello dear friends!
With winter in full force, now is the perfect time to learn how to make a medicine to fight the flu from your kitchen.
I'm sharing an easy and effective recipe made from common ingredients, since I found this I stopped bought any cough drops hope you do the same!
This are the ingredients:
1 Cup of sugar
1/2 Cup of water
1 Tablespoon of lemon juice
1 Tablespoon of honey
1/2 Teaspoon of ground ginger
1/4 Teaspoon of ground cloves

could not be easier! :)
PS: I'm looking for a substitute for the sugar any suggestions?

Maybe stevia would work or more honey? Granulated sugar is sucrose, whereas honey is a combination of fructose(fruit sugar) and glucose. 1tblsp of honey contains an equivalent amount of fructose as an apple. Honey also has anti-microbial properties so it would be beneficial to use it as a substitute. It is debatable whether or not those anti-microbial properties diminish or increase with processing. I suppose you could also use splenda as a substitute...
I think a sprig of mint would go great in this to help clear out the sinuses. :)

Elderberries would be an excellent addition as well, flavorful and good for immunity.
