So far none of the information I have found is very clear but appears that the miracle Ebola turn around for the American Doctor and the American missionary has at least some connection to ethnobotanicals, specifically tobacco.
From what I understand the original anti-bodies are developed by exposing three iterations of mice with trace amounts of Ebola and this final protein is injected into growing tobacco that copies the protein which is later harvested and used in the treatment. Really ingenious, I wonder if the amazing tobacco plant has the capacity to reproduce all proteins this way and what if any, impact this may have on the Gluten free food needs of many.

Tangentially, I wonder what ex post "excuse" the manufacturer and Emory will give for administering an untested cure/vaccine. I wonder if the FDA cares?
