This is how cactus growers know when to water their plants. It's also a good indicator when to water your salvia plant.  ;)

Water your plant... Ten minutes later

It also works for other plants.

That's how cactus growers water non cacti plants. Hehe.

Thats the same method i use, works very good.

it works because when the plant is wilting the roots had its time to grow looking for water, so when you water at this exact point the plant bounces back with new growth, it explodes!
