I'm a student at a liberal arts college in Massachusetts. I live in Northeastern Vermont in the summer and have agriculture experience mainly from tending/experimenting with our extensive summer vegetable garden. Recently I've been interested in growing herbs and medicinal plants, as well as legal psychoactive plants such as coleus, kratom, peruvian torch cactus, psycotria viridis, or kava. I'm very interested in urban agriculture, and permaculture, and would love to share some seeds. I'm particularly interested in growing ginseng.
I also am extremely interested in growing salvia divinorum, for a few reasons, one being its rarity and difficulty propagating from seed. It's illegal in VT, but in Massachusetts perfectly legal, so I plan on growing it (perhaps in a greenhouse) in MA.

Welcome!

Yeah, I'm planning on sticking around. Haven't done much/enough seed/saving so far, but I'm sure I've got something to offer. Looking forward to getting upgraded and doing some sharing/trading.

No worries about what you have to offer. Everyone here is willing to help out new growers. :)
-
^^^Can't stress that enough.
Even if you come to STS with nothing to offer. We encourage you to participate in giveaways and contribute information. STS is about sharing. If you have nothing to share now, make a few requests for some things you want. When the time comes months down the line and you're harvesting seed, remember the generosity of the growers that have gifted plants and seeds to you and give some of your own away. :)
Welcome to STS! :D

Welcome! Great to have another member with urban farming and permaculture interest. The future of human habitation on the planet lies in the city/slum, making it vital that we continue to develop resilient food/medicine systems in those places. Looking forward to learning with you!

I'm curious-- does anyone else on this forum have an interest in/experience with mycoremediation of contaminated soil? or bioremediation in general? It's something I'd really like to continue learning about as it's pretty necessary for urban agriculture.
