I am from Brazil (and my english is poor). I practice some entheogenous experiences and cultivate some psychoactive plants.
I decided to join in this forum to trade some plant species and enhance my knowledge about plant cultivation.
I am a member of Brazilian Etnobotanic forum called Plantas Enteógenas (https://plantasenteogenas.org/) with same nick (EIRN).
Lets illuminate the world with sacred plants!

Boas-vindas EIRN,
thank you for joining us, and don't worry about your english. There's many people here who don't speak english as their native language (me included) and there's also at least two active and respected members I can think of who speak portuguese as their mother language. Eventually, if the community likes the idea, we might even open a section for non-english discussions.
For any questions you have to get started in the community, please check our Rules (http://sharetheseeds.me/index.php/rules) and FAQ (http://sharetheseeds.me/forum/index.php?topic=15.0) sections. And of course, ask away if you have any doubts.
I hope you have a pleasant time in our forums.
Welcome to STS,
Mandrake

This is a great idea!

Hello EIRN, thank you for joining ShareTheSeeds, and thanks for your already updated grow/share/wish lists 8)
I know many STS members would be interested in a variety of Mimosa species, and Mimosa conservation: if you have some local Mimosa plants, it would be awesome if we could share some of those to the community. I have some Mimosa tenuiflora seeds, but am interested in a variety of species and genetics of entheogenic Mimosas.
I would love to join other entheogenic botanical exchange forums, however, I can only understand english. Your english is great; much better than my spanish, or portuguese :)
I look forward to sharing my seeds with you, and I hope you stay here at STS.

Thank you for the wellcome.
Here I will pratice english! :)
About Mimosa, I have only M. tenuiflora. At the moment I have no seed, but in the next flower season I will have.
There is other Mimosa (here is called Jurema) used for spiritual purpose, M. ophtalmocentra.
There is lots of species called Jurema, all mimosoidae species, but another genera.
Native people use Jurema in diferent way then us (non indigeonus peolple), i drunk Jurema with Kariri-Xocó indians...it was not a visionary expirience lika ayahuasca.....
Any way, a live far from the place were Jurema grows naturaly, and people only sell M. tenuifolia seeds...there is no comercial interess in M. ophtalmocentra....I want this too.
Were I live (São Paulo) there is a Mimosa, but there is no information about any use (M. bimucronata)..if you want, I can send you seeds (I will need harvest some seed).
I do not list all plant that I have...in other moment I will complet the list.
-
I am interested in all species that are called Jurema, including Mimosa bimucronata and Mimosa ophthalmocentra. It would be especially good if I knew the species names, for taxonomy and cultivation purposes ;)
I'm also interested in Brugmansia suaveolens. No rush, and if you'd like seeds in return, just let me know which species; no limit on how many kinds.
PM me when you are ready to trade, and again thanks for joining :)
-
Mimosa bimucronata is not a Jurema...it is just a same genera specie, and is the only specie that grow naturaly near me.
My Brug is flowering at this moment, but I do not see fruits....I used stem cuttings tecnique.
If you want, I can send you a stem cutting. Must be a 20 cm piece.
I am looking for Chaliponga seeds (Diplopterys cabrerana) and Virola theiodora or calophylla.
-
Welcome to STS! I've never seen any of the brugmansia I grow set seed. If you do have any luck finding virola or chaliponga seeds, please spread them around. I would love to get ahold of seeds for either of those and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Hope you enjoy your time here. :)

Good to have you with us EIRN! I, too, like the idea of a non-English discussion section...that might help me get some of my secondary language capacity off the ground ;)

Hi ERIN! Welcome to STS. I look forward to sharing.

Welcome to STS my friend!

.. welcome ERIN, Brazil seems like an extraordinary place.. glad you're here!
-
Hi my friend, bem vindo!
Not so long ago you told me the same words at the other forum. :)
You fit right in here I'm sure, have a good time!
-
Nice to digitally meet you , I am new too :)
I might have just gotten virolas from 2 places , in the post on the way now
possibly surinamensis / sebifera from Nicaragua and Suriname
And Mimosa scabrella (Braacatinga) from Brazil..
I also got some opthalmocentra seeds from Brazil - only 8, I sowed 4 when I got them but lost them to fungus gnats
this time I sowed another 4 and used nematodes in the water and sbs on the soil ,
one seedling didn't get past the cotyledon stage
but the other 3 are just sprouting their 5th set of leaves
-an honour to have the chance to grow those and been so far 100% germination, really pretty colour seeds too :)
and that supplier is also hunting virolas diplop' and tetrap'
......and much like the other good folk here; I am also seeking to grow Tetrapterys methistica , white banisteriopsis sp' (tear drop shaped-paper like- seed pod) , Diplopterys cabrerana and Trichocereus validus and werdermannianus but also different varieties of Psychotria viridis
I managed to make a contact in Ecuador though which may come to fruition sooner than I expected for virola, tetrapterys and diplopterys
And one in Peruu for virola
I have only grown for 2 years but I look forward to sharing plants with you too
and it's wonderful to know there's more like us out there
Bliss wishes and happy growing

Did I hear you say diplopterys seeds???!??!?!?!??!
