Hi!
I'm thinking of starting a spiritual garden of sorts where I live but resources are a bit thin. Not exactly a well-stocked area. x)
Fortunately I found sts! I hope you'll be able to help me get to know the earth a bit better. I realize I won't be a great contribution to the site, due to my overall noobness, but I sincerely hope I'll learn with you all!
Thanks!

Welcome to Share The Seeds, Atorf.
Thanks for joining.

Welcome to the forum. Everyone has been very generous with me as a noob without much to share (yet), and I'm sure you'll be able to get growing soon. See you around.

Hello Atorf and thanks for joining.
Noobness is nothing but the first stage of mastery. If we have any true gardening masters here, I'm sure they would agree... the rest of us are learning somewhere along the way.
Hope to see you around, welcome to STS!

G'day Atorf!
Don't worry about being inexperienced, or under-resourced, that's what makes it exciting!
I learn new stuff every single day and the day I don't, will be the day I move onto something else.
Speaking of which, I am off to research Shorea and Saraca uses as I have never heard of either one.
There you go, your an asset to me at least already!

Welcome to the forums buddy! Don't worry about inexperience. This is a great place to learn.

Welcome to STS atorf! :)

Thank you all for the warm welcome! It really means a lot. ;)
About shorea and saraca, I'm not looking into them for consumption or other practical uses but for their spiritual significance. Im very invested in Buddhist philosophy and spirituality, and those (along with the fig tree) were the most important plants in the Gautama's life.
I'm looking into creating a peaceful meditation-prone garden centered around the ficus religiosa. I'm complementing that with Mimosa and some cacti for spiritual guidance of a different sort.
If any other plants jump to mind I could use the ideas. :D
Still not sure how I'm going to accommodate the bigger ones, but then again those take decades to grow! xD

welcome!
this IS the place to start learning!

Be sure to check out the Rules (http://sharetheseeds.me/forum/index.php?topic=364.0) and FAQ (http://sharetheseeds.me/forum/index.php?topic=15.0). Talk of consumption is discouraged. This applies when the plants have alkaloids that are scheduled.
