Quite a lofty vision, and after this video I don't even doubt it will help our planet.

I used his book Mycelium Running as a starting point for some research on mycoremediation.  I'm very impressed by a lot of the evidence of efficacy.  Early I researched other plant-based remediation and it seems pretty limited compared to mycoremediation--mushrooms can do a lot more--extract/leach heavy metals, break down a variety of organic pollutants and pesticides, and play host to microbes fostering an ecology of remediation...
